Located 20 miles northwest of Austin, in the panoramic hill country is the Lake Travis community. This is the area to call home if you seek country leisure and suburban conveniences. 

The area of the Colorado River that ends at Mansfield Dam and winds for miles through numerous towns and cities including Lakeway, Briarcliff, Spicewood, and Bee Caves is all part of the Lake South area and Lake Travis ISD. 

Lake Travis is a boater’s paradise with many public ramps/docks and many park areas. Fishing is plentiful and recreational water sports are abundant. “The sunset capital of Texas” is located here with spectacular evening views. 

Lake Travis boasts a highly accredited school district that consists of 7 campuses. Students thrive academically and go onto attend some of the top colleges and universities to further their education. More information can be found under our school district link.  

The Lake Travis community is home to many musicians and artists and offers outdoor music venues and many local flavor shops and galleries. As the area continues to grow, so does the shopping. The Hill Country Galleria will soon be home to major anchor and local merchants for shopping convenience.  

Besides lake activities, the area also boasts numerous public and private golf courses. Home to a PGA course, and the new UT golf course located at Steiner Ranch. The course at The Hills of Lakeway also is home to the annual Kinko’s Classic.
